- A load assist device (LAD) is a non-powered, 3-degree-of-freedom gravity compensation mechanism designed to support the weight of heavy objects attached to its end-effector, without the use of motors or external power sources.
- It is especially effective in assisting tasks that require the use of not only heavy tools but also long, rod-shaped equipment, such as those used in live-line maintenance.
- The Roll-Pitch-Roll-Pitch-Roll-Roll-Pitch structure allows the operator to move tools flexibly and perform tasks with ease.
